       Data collection tools such as surveys can be used for various reasons in a classroom, such as collection opinions from students, giving questionnaires on topics being learned, or even quizzing them on content that is being taught in the class. For example, if there is a 8th grade history class that I'm instructing, giving out a survey to the class on what time period they're most interested in (1600s, 1700s, 1800s, 1900s) could be a great way to gauge what the lesson plan should focus on given what the majority of the class is interested in. I also think a great method that could be used for gathering survey data from students would involve an overview of the results with the class, that way there is a level of transparency and clear communication with the class and they can get a view in the survey process.   A paragraph about your experience as a distance learner this semester. What do you like about your distance learning experience? What do you dislike about your distance learning experience? When you are a teacher, what is something you can do to help improve the experience of distance learners? I really dont like the distance learning experience. I have no motivation to keep up with work and attending these classes on a computer screen just does not fit my learning style at all. I'm much more of a visual/hands on learner and the disconnect from classes has me struggling to learn the material. I'm trying to keep my spirits up though, and a good thing about distance learning is being able to attend class from any location thats connected to the internet. As a teacher, I would help improve the experience of distance learners by trying to adjust to any potential issues that arise with technology, as there are plenty. I would also probably not have mandatory attendance lectures, a
